 Artwork on canvas :-

I’m using the watercolour and black pen. This painting is called “A Flower Pot” With simple basic element of shape and pattern, I managed to create a painting of a normal flower pot. As for the colour, my main focus on the pot by using repetition colour of black and orange to create a pattern on the pot. As for the background, I literally used the chess board pattern to create contrast plus to make the flower pot stand out. For the flowers, I draw a simple form of yellow dahlia as it expresses sentiment of elegant and dignity. Plus, the yellow dahlia make my painting look more colourful based on the yellow colour I used. Then, I draw two red peaches behind the flower to attract the viewers attention.
To be honest, this is my first time drawing on canvas and practiced quite a lot to finally manage to paint this painting even though the image is not well balanced and the flowers is not well painted. Plus, the red peaches make no sense to be there but to me it is the simplest way to grab the viewers attention as they will ask themselves about the logic of peaches grow out from a flower pot.
It seem like that I need a lot of practice before I can create a masterpiece of my own. Plus, I will start to research on the object and subject that I want to paint so that the same mistake will not happen. I shall create a better art for my next assignment. Thank You.

As you can see, I choose the cold theme colour for this artwork and this is my second time painting on a canvas. This painting is called ‘THE COOL TIN’ as it express the main subject of my painting which is the tin. I create this painting based on the Pop Art Movement where I used well common subject in our society these days in my painting which is a tin of cool drinks.
I used water colour for the colour and a blue pen marker for the typography and the subject outlines. I also used the basic principle of design such as pattern and emphasis and the basic elements of design such as line, shape, colour, space and texture. As for the background, I used a line of cold colour from blue to green to match the theme and to attract attention from the viewers. For the typography, I used free style of typography instead of san sariff, sariff and script. Plus, I used the phrase ‘ Let’s Cool Down!’ to match the theme of the colour. As for the tin, I just colour the whole thing without putting the brand or even the flavour create a harmony between the colours.
To be honest, it took me 3 days to create this painting and I was too focused on the colour which make the typography and the tin look a little bit out of order. Well, you can see that I should use script or san sariff for the typography and it so obvious the tin shape are not well balance as I rushed them with the pen marker. I also should put some brand or even flavours to make it stand out even more and make it more ‘POP ART’ if you understand what I trying to say.
It looks like it still going to be a long way for me to create a masterpiece of my own. I will be more careful with my next assignment so that I will not repeat the next mistakes.
